Searching for a candy little 8″ apple cake to serve all fall? You discovered it! This Rustic Apple Cake is ideal with a scoop or vanilla ice cream or cinnamon whipped cream.
This easy, buttery cake must be a staple within the fall. It’s so satisfying to make and it’s good to have cake choices that aren’t a large multi-tiered layer cake.

I got here up with this old school recipe for my Sleepy Hole get together as a result of I wished a cake they could have served on the Van Tassel autumn harvest get together. This positively suits the invoice!
Rustic Apple Cake
1 cup granulated sugar
1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
3 giant eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup flour
1 cup peeled, chopped apple
Serving suggestion: vanilla ice cream or whipped cream
- Preheat oven to 350 levels. Totally grease and flour the underside and sides of an 8″ cake pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat butter with 1 cup of sugar till mixed, then beat in eggs one at at time. Stir in vanilla and cinnamon, then sprinkle flour, baking powder, and salt and blend simply till mixed. Fold in chopped apple.
- Unfold cake batter evenly in ready pan, then bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Let cool for twenty minutes, then run a knife across the edges and take away from pan. Cool fully and dirt with a little bit of powdered sugar. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
